Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons lecithin
- 1 teaspoon arrowroot
- 4-4 1/2 cups freshly milled flour
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon yeast
Directions:
1. Combine the hot water, oil, honey, salt, and egg in a large bowl. Add the lecithin, arrowroot, half of the flour, and ground flaxseed. Mix everything together until it’s smooth. Then, add the yeast and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead the dough until it’s smooth and elastic, about 5-6 minutes. Let it rise until it doubles in size.
2. Once the dough has risen, divide it into 12-15 balls. Roll each ball into a rope and tie the ropes into knots. Place the knots on a greased cookie sheet or in a bun pan. Let them rise again until they double in size, about 45 minutes.
3. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the buns for 10-12 minutes, or until they’re golden brown. Cut them in half and use them for any meat you like!
